Crossing at Nogales
I would like to hear from anyone that recently made the trip down through Nogales. Would like to hear about your experience. Also is anyone headed down to Chapala thru Nogales in the near future?

Re: Crossing at Nogales
I am going to Casa Grande, Az the 9th from Lakeside, returning thru Nogales on the 17th. We make this trip 3-4 times per year.....never had an issue. Going North avoid week ends/holidays. Last trip North it took 2 hours getting thru U S Customs....trafic was backed up nearly 1 mile.

Re: Crossing at Nogales
Last came back from US in December. If you are coming or heading
from northwest US you can enter the US at Lukeville arizona and avoid
Nagales. Mexican federal highway 2 runs from the border slightly SW
to pick up 15D at Santa Anna. 20 miles from border is a customs station
to get your visa and vehicle bond. You will be stopped again about 75
miles west of Santa Anna as roads connect from the north (do not use
the border crossing between Nagales and Lukeville). Heading north
get rid of your car bond 20 miles from Lukeville and turn your visa in
a mexican border. This crossing is much much faster during the afternoon
than Nagales. I have driven this route 5 times during the last two years
with no problems. As much law enforcement on route 2 as 15D.
