Cecina ? where to find
Does anyone know where I can purchase Cecina?
I know it is available by the checkout counter @ Superlake but it is too expensive.
I'd like to get 1/4-1/2 kilo to have around for when I make a pot of beans or stew or need a high protein carnivorous snack....
gracias,
david
pd: For those who don't know, Cecina (hopefully I have spelled it correctly) is dried beef, similar to beef jerky but, in my opinion, more flavorful.

I make my own cecina,it's easy, ask the butcher to slice some lean beef very thin for cecina, season with salt, pepper, chile molido and maybe a little teriaki sauce, hang the strips on the rack in the oven put the oven temp as low as possible, prop the oven door open a little and wait 6 to 7 hours,it's way better than any jerky you'll find around here and much less expensive IMO.There's also machaca I like the Sinaloa brand, pretty good with scrambled eggs.
