Canuck Bob, I apoligized, give it a rest!!!CanuckBob wrote:RCMP service Arizona now???
BTW calling the RCMP at the Vancouver airport will get you tasered.......jajaja.
But to answer your question, I trust in the RCMP, and no, they do not service Arizona, however I feel just as safe in AZ as in Canada.
The question begs to be asked, do you feel the same in Mexico"

Re: What Happened To Larry Allen?
Dawg feels much safer in Mexico where I live and maintain residences in Jalisco and Chiapas, than I did in my native Alabama or adopted Oakland, San Francisco. Los Angeles or rural Mendocino County, California. In those U.S. places, Dawg kept a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and .38 police revolver close at hand at all times prepared to plug holes in any creep who invaded my comfort zone.
In nearly sixty years in cities such as Mobile, Oakland, Washington, D.C and San Francisco, Dawg was threatened with violence far more times than I have been threatend with violence in my eleven years in Mexico´s Jalisco and Chiapas even without that shotgun or revolver. Things may change tomorrow but that´s life. I´m sure as hell not moving back up to that U.S. hellhole to escape Mexico.

oakland? i would choose ajijic anytime. visited oakland many many years ago (an hour or so), it looked burnt out. i dont know how i got there but i lost my way. 2 men on motorcycles who looked like pedro (from the webboard), told me there were no cabs. then i saw where the famous college was, that was the pits too. i was kind of sight seeing, that was not the place. san francisco was nice for a day. i will never go back to northern calif, except for carmel to see family. lived /worked in LA, in good neighborhoods, but i cant imagine what the worst of it could be.

Hi John,
No. I'm here in Mexico on a permanent basis.
If you have a very fat savings account, say.........4 or 5 mil. it would get you a charming cottage in Carmel. Complete with the attendant taxes. (grin)

Re: What Happened To Larry Allen?
Could someone tell me, has there been any update on Larry Allen?
In response to a post here... It doesn't matter if Mr. Allen is/was gay...I don't think this should be chalked up to "just another gay murder" -- as the previous poster put it--- and be blown off as unimportant. If he has disappeared, this is an important issue for everyone. The same thing could happen to a straight person in a heterosexual relationship. This type of thing should cause concern, no matter if the person is straight or gay. If a woman disappeared and her male lover was the suspect, and seen cleaning out her house and giving out conflicting stories about her status, would it seem unimportant? If it were your daughter or your son, would this be unimportant? An unsolved murder or disappearance means that a perpetrator got by with something in the lakeside community...not a good thing. Anyhoo...just wondering if anyone has heard anything. I have been thinking about it.
