Local resident criminal captured yesterday in Guadalajara

This is on TOB and refers to a local resident of Ajijic - name and address in Ajijic supplied by the newspaper - I will also post a link to his photo:

Did anyone else buy today's Pagina 24 and see the photos on page 13 of the three guys attempting the robbery of a beauty salon in Guadalajara?

One of the three, Arturo Arceo Garcia Espirito, 21, lists an address on Emiliano Zapata in Ajijic and was carrying a 357 revolver He has a lot of tattoos on his right arm and onto his chest from that side. Looks to be tall and slender

The other two don't have Ajijic addresses. One is Sergio Rubio Mora, 32, who was carrying a service type .45 which was traced to a crime in Tijuana March 3, 2010. The other guy, Alejandro Ramos Padilla, 23, had a 32 service style revolver.

Wonder if the people here who supplied descriptions have seen these pictures. They attempted to escape in a Black Ford Fiesta with Michoacan plates. Maybe it's the power of suggestion that I think they remind me of the sketches I saw.

No I can't find La Pagina on line - the one which has the photos of the other two guys. I can usually find anything on Google but can't find this article with photos.

The one perp would appear to be the guy in the crime sketch. Brigitte, nice freudian
slip. I imagine we'd like all of these kind of buddies to end up as bodies.

They usually update the website throughout Friday - apparently they delete everything and then add new stuff during the day - so maybe the pictures will make it to the online version.

Says they shot at the cops, too bad the cops missed, the families should be lucky the guy is locked up and not dead!

There are two sets of arrest, one made the news because one of the persons caught is from Ajijic and resembles the sketch of the kid who tried to steal the car.
He is already accused of all kinds of things on the forums. I
They arrested 3 men in their 20´s who were robbing a hair salon or beauty shop.

The other arrest is that of 3 people who seem to be connected to the crime. On that picture you can see the skinny guy who "confessed" we already know he was taken to the Cruz Roja as one of his legs was hurt during the fight before the arrest according to the press. You can also see two big brutes that may or may not be some of the people who commited the assaults.

Remains to be seen if one or several of the 6 are connected to the assaults and the murder in Ajijic.
None of them look like people you would want to meet in a dark alley but the MP has to do their job before we know which ones are the guitly party and if they are.
By the look of these guys they are probably guilty of something..but it has to be proven.
The fact that the kid from Ajijic had filed his finger to disguise his finger prints seems to indicate he was not a novice.

Finally there seemed to have been a whole lot of arrest within this last 6 or 7 days hopefully some of these people can be held for more than a couple of days and thoroughly investigated.

You'd think the victims would be able to identify their attackers, unless they couldn't see their faces or needed glasses, be it was a home invasion.

Where did that black & white picture come from?

There was an article about 3 men captured who had assaulted a beauty salon, which one man lives in Ajijic. Take a look at pictures from Informador. They don't look anything like the men in the black & white picture.

What about identifying the gun! Did you see the guns they were carrying? If that was in my face, I don't think I'd forget it right away.

Had an interesting conversation with a Mexican family in Chapala. They said things sure have quieted down since the expats had their meeting last week. Said the government is visible & protecting them now. Sure hope this is the truth nor short lived!

I don't know if they do a line up in Mexico like in the US allowing victims to spot their attackers. It's a very different judicial system here.

There is a lineup procedure it is called confrontacion.
