This post isn't intended to alarm but rather to inform. Geo-Mexico in their daily article titled: "The diffusion of violence in Mexico since the early 1980s: http://geo-mexico.com/?p=5378 had an interesting and informative map.

If you read the article, you will note that the author points out that differing sets of evidence were used to construct the maps.

Well no wonder... those maps show the Sonoran coast to be uninfected by narco violence.
I have always marveled that there are no guards at any of the banks I have patronized in San Carlos or Guaymas.
Even in li'l ol' Coscomatepec had armed guards at banks and in the big supermercado.
