Volaris
I could almost post this under Crime since I am so frustrated figuring out how to do this. I have a fully refundable ticket with Volaris that I need to cancel due to them changing the schedule and it no longer working for me. I can't find how to do it and their chat bot doesn't give me an option on doing it. Have any of you had to cancel a ticket and how did you go about it? TIA

Re: Volaris
Do you have the Volaris app on your phone? I believe when you bring up your flight on it, it has a button to Change/Cancel your reservation.

Re: Volaris
When Volaris changes the schedule of a flight, THEY are supposed to notify YOU & see if it still works. This is usually in the form of an email in my experience. The email asks you to consent to the new time schedule, or whether you want a ticket voucher or cancel flight & have it credited to original card. Don't take the voucher - it was a pain, they also nicked me for $ (seats paid for) if I recall. Anyway, I didn't get back the full amount I paid. You need to talk to an agent I guess, to get the email, so try a USA number for easier access to English speaking. The CDMX # always forever wait, difficult to get English etc. I don't fly Volaris anymore. Viva A has improved their website, flexibility & have newer Boeing planes & don't cheat you at every opportunity..

Re: Volaris
My experience with Volaris has been positive, especially after Covid when they gave me a full refund. Other airlines not so well. United gave me a voucher good for a year, and Delta would not give me anything. I had flight insurance and was eventually able to get a refund for my Delta flight, but not the fees and taxes. Just the cost of the tickets. I think this is standard practice. At any rate, I'll never use Delta again even if they are the only option available. I'll take a train or bus.

Update on my attempt to cancel and get a refund
I wanted to update everyone on what I went through to get a refund on my fully refundable ticket on Volaris. They did everything they could to get me just to take a future credit. I spent about 4 hours, being sent here then there, hung up on, etc. The last part was I had to send in a written request on a link they sent me. I did complete the link and got no response within twice the timeframe they said they would answer.
I then filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation (yes Volaris is governed by their rules). Within 3 days of filing that complaint, I got an email from Volaris saying they were going to fully refund my ticket. It said to allow up to 24 days to receive the refund on my card. It took 7 days and this morning the credit was recieved.
I realize Volaris many times is the cheapest and the only direct flight. I still won't use them again just like I won't use Spirit. At my age time is money :-)
