The Fried Chicken Place in Ajijic
I stopped to grab some cole slaw to take home. The smell of the fried chicken was intoxicating so I asked for a single boneless thigh to go. Frankly, I expected it to be soggy and maybe dry after sitting in that little window under a heat lamp. I was wrong.
Great crunch on the outside, very tender on the inside. They sell it by weight which I think is fairer than selling by-the-piece. They have many sides, including slaw, mashed potatoes, macaroni salad and potato salad, onion rings. You can also get Fried Chicken Sandwiches and all flavors of wings.
Just off the Ajijic Plaza on Hidalgo. Full menu at their FB page, https://www.facebook.com/p/The-FRIED-Chicken-100064065042999/
Delivery and full menu also on Traitte.

Yes it is. We will stopping there a few times while we are there at BOP. It was delicious two years ago when we were last there.

I picked up some pieces at Ajijic Fried Chicken on Hidalgo before dinner and kept it warm in 100 C degree oven. It remained crunchy and not dried out.
Love this chicken; as Bob says, better than KFC. Friendly staff. Lots of sides if you want them and choices of salsas, too. Their BBQ and their picante salsas both excellent.

They use fresh chicken every day. Fried in small batches. Never greasy. Always crunchy. Never too salty. They have dipping sauces but no extra flavor is needed. Ajijic Fried Chicken is the best in the area.

No, I would say another 4 to 6 weeks at least.

Nobody working on site of Popeye's yesterday at 11:30 am. More like 4 to 6 months at the rate they're building.

Yeah I agree, I went and looked closely the other day, and it will be months.
