Courtesy of ibarra on other board:
You pay at the recaudadora on Degollado in Chapala (or online). Ask for discount for old age (if you have an INAPAM card take it)
Go to your appointment at SECRETARIA DE TRANSPORTE MODULO DE LICENCIAS CHAPALA Paseo Ramón Corona s/n, La Cristianía, 45900 Chapala, with your: Old license, CURP and RFC, Passport & b&w copy of picture page Or if you are Mexican your INE and B&W copy Resident card and b&w copy (N/A Mexican citizens). Proof of residence & b&w copy (if Telmex bill every page) Receipt for your payment.

Fyi, you don't have to pay at Recaudadora; I paid at BBVA and have the receipt. The online Jalisco licensing system gave us the age discount when I prepared the payment coupons to take to the bank; after all, the License Dept. knows our ages! btw, we don't have INAPAM and it wasn't needed for this discount.
Already have an appt.
Thx for the other info!

How current does your RFC have to be? Are you sure it is required?

Re: Jalisco DL Renewal
I found these requirements at the Jalisco site. I realize the Chapala office likes you to jump threw an extra hoop or two. Was hoping to get an answer from a person with recent experience.
Requirements for endorsement of motorist, driver and motorcyclist license:
Valid official identification.
Proof of address that matches any of the surnames or the INE address. (No more than 90 days)
Printed CURP or birth certificate that contains it.
All documents in original and copy.
To present proof of the road course. (applies only to the motorcyclist category, minor's permit, public transportation, taxis and platform vehicles in all categories)
If you are 75 years of age or older, in addition to the previous requirements, you must present a health certificate stating that you have physical and mental fitness to drive a motor vehicle, issued by an official health agency.

The health certificate and examination can be obtained at the Red Cross offices nearby.

You said in another thread you didn't see a reason to have a Mexican bank account. This is one reason. I am able to pay this sort of thing online by bank transfer. I just type in the payment code when on the BBVA site, it gets transferred and I instantly have a receipt. No need to go to the bank to pay.

Still don't want a MX bank account! BBVA is a short walk, next to my frutería, polleria, and near my go-to deli and bakery.

Oh, I wasn't trying to talk you into it, just pointing out an advantage to some in having one.
There are no banks closer than a half hour drive from me at which you can pay Mex. govt. fees and there are always lineups at all of them.

OK, then I won't try to talk you into moving to a location where you can bank, shop and eat within a 10 minute walk

I prefer quiet countryside. And don't much like going out to eat. ;-)
