Living in Guadalajara is already more expensive than living in these cities

We used to come to Mexico every year at this time. This is my first visit after the pandemic, So far I have visited Michoacan, Guanajuato, and Mexico City this time, and have not noticed big price difference among the sites.

It was surprising to see the prices change after five years.

This might be due to the Japanese yen's 50% drop against the dollar. Near my house, I can still get Ramen for about $7 or less at a 3-star Michelin restaurant (no tip, no tipping custom there).

Historically, Tokyo competed with New York and Paris as the world's most expensive city, but it's now flooded with tourists seeking bargain prices, safety, and good service.

Since I am not here to save money, I am very satisfied with how easy it is to live and how cheerful everyone is.
