Good morning..?

Someone's waking up to a surprise. Looks like a middle of the night hit and run. The driver must have been flying. The SUV is smashed and pushed upon the sidewalk. This morning in Constitution....

Wow. That's nasty. Surely somebody woke up to that collision because it must have been loud.

We slept through a vehicle that took out part of our street wall after driving up and along our sidewalk. It woke neighbors who were kind enough to not wake us at 2AM.

The next day I noticed the vehicle did similar damage over a block away, again driving on the sidewalk.

Can't imagine the damage to their vehicle, unless it was a Sherman Tank.

As we were returning from lunch about 20 minutes ago, there was a tow truck on that street.

Our parked car was broadsided in a small town in Michoacan. We asked around and found the guy who hit us. Our Ace Adjuster shows up and we told him we knew who hit the car so the next step was to call the police to file the report. He said no, we would file the claim as a 'hit and run' because if the police got involved it would cost more and slow the process down. The difficult part was getting the 8000 pesos deductible out of the family. There was some arm twisting but finally the daughter came up with the money. YMMV

I saw a security camera feed of this accident. It appears as though they were fleeing from something not far up the street. First two people go running by on foot, then an old white Ford Explorer plows into that SUV and pushes it into the truck in front of it and up onto the sidewalk. The two people that were running down the street return to the crashed vehicle. They appear to be getting the airbags out of the way and then they pile in and race off.

The security camera footage has been given to the Policia.
