Murphy's Law continues
Hal just changed our tire. Where's the best place to get a tire fixed?

On the Libriemento just up from the Walmart intersection on the left hand side. Look for the huge green tire.

One of the best things I ever bought was a 12 volt, $25 air compressor that plugs into your car lighter or auxiliary plug. Unless a tire has a major puncture, or a split, that has gotten me to the llantera without having to change the tire at home. Many times.

I travel on the highways a lot. I always carry two cans of the tire sealer/inflator in my trunk (WalMart, AutoZone, etc.). With a normal puncture you can drive a long time without a repair.

At least the tire inflator is available here now. I remember trying to bring down two in my carry on. Uh uh, no way. They were going to confiscate it so I went back to the entrance to security where family members were saying goodbye and gave it away to anyone who wanted it. No way I was turning it over to the security detail for their benefit. LOL.

Why I like my little compressor more than those cans is that while it takes longer to fill the tire, it's not something you use once and throw away the can and have to buy more.

You can also proactively put that liquid in your tires that immediately and continually repairs any tread puncture (it won't seal a sidewall cut or puncture) however I have found that it messes with my tire balancing.

I think I will look into this product. It is JUST a sealer and you do require a source of air to pump up the tire. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/slime-prevent-tire-repair-tire-sealant-710-ml-0095069p.0095069.html?rq=tire%20sealant#srp
I am going to use this as preventative maintenance and will do it to all the tires at the same time and then go for a drive to help spread it throughout the tire. The reviews make for interesting reading. I always seem to have a slow leak in one tire and I think that driving on the cobblestones here and occasionally hitting a hard to see tope are the causes.

Yes, I had a really slow leak in one tire. I just added air all the time when needed, but I eventually got it checked out and there was something wrong, not just the rough roads- I can't remember what- I think it was a nail, the head of which was mostly plugging the hole.

I had a slow leak and just replaced the tire when I was having to add more air more frequently. The tire was 13 years old so I figured what the heck. Replaced it at a Goodyear place just south of Sorians.

Carry Bean, with 13 YO tires I'm surprised that the leak was..... slow.

Moy the tire repair guy, 332 207 7875, will come to your house, take off the tire, take it to his shop to fix and bring it back. All for a very reasonable fee.
