CNN's Searching For Mexico, Travel and Food Series
It debuted Sunday; first episode was about CDMX. If you didn't see it, you can probably catch it some time this week (CNN tends to rerun their series). It's along the lines of the CNN series hosted by Stanley Tucci, Searching For Italy. Tucci is also a producer of this Mexico series.
Here is rundown of all the episodes of Searching For Mexico, including one based in Jalisco.

Sunday's episode was based in Jalisco. Visited Lake Chapala at Mezcala and ate charales. In Guadalajara she tasted Tortas Ahogadas, went to a charreada and ate birria there. It's a nice little travelogue about Mexico. Should be able to download any of the episodes you missed.

The episode on Jalisco I thought was a bit disappointing and not as good as the previous episodes in other locations. Their commentary on the history of Mezcala Island was not factual and the significance of the "Coco" indians to the area I thought was not accurately portrayed. For instance, the "fort" on Mezcala Island was built much later than the when the Spaniards were being held off by the local tribes and had nothing to do with the indigenous of the area. It would have been better if they focused more time on the significance of the tequila industry and the unique cuisine of Jalisco.
