Frida Kahlo at the Musa: The last years of the artist
Physical pain was a constant in the life of Frida Kahlo.
The cultural venue will exhibit letters, images and family documents of the Mexican artist.
In the coming days, the Musa Museo de las Artes Universidad de Guadalajara will open its doors to the most personal world of Frida Kahlo. The cultural venue will exhibit letters, images and family documents of the Mexican artist in order to present aspects of her life that are less known, as it will focus on her last years.
Frida Kahlo was a patient at the ABC Medical Center in Mexico City, where through her illness, she was inspired to draw, paint and write how she felt in those moments. The artist's work stands out for being autobiographical, since each painting of her represents a specific moment in her life.
"Frida without borders" will be presented at the Museum of Arts University of Guadalajara (Musa) from March 17 to August 6, 2023. Admission to this cultural venue is completely free and it complies with a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 :00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The museum is in Colonia Americana, Calle Juarez #975
