Constantly having to log on
Every time I come here several times a day. And yes, I check the box to keep myself logged in. What gives? It’s getting frustrating.

Carry, try clearing browser cookies for insidelakeside.com? And make sure you're not in private/incognito mode in your browser. Also, make peace with whatever deity you may have recently lashed out at? Â (standard wink emoji)

This usually occurs when the system detects "robot spammers" trying to enter.

Had to log on this morning so I guess the spammers are still busy.

Had to log on again just now. I’ll check in next week. This is a pain.

Perhaps the system is getting Alzheimers since it can't remember its own members after one hour.

It remembers me when I use my laptop and keeps me logged in whenever I go to site.
When I use my phone, I need to log in everytime. Though it remembers my login info, no need to retype login or p/w but I do have to click on it.

Re: Constantly having to log on
I'm not having any problems either. It is something on your computer Carrybean. I suspect you have it set to "erase cookies" after every session.

Re: Constantly having to log on
It is NOT something on Carry's computer. Nor on mine. NOTHING was touched or changed on my end. Occasionally this glitch happens on this site. I got so pissed off having to log in every time that I just told the site not to tell me again. All of a sudden, I'm logged in and I didn't do it... and I haven't had to log in since. Go figure.

Re: Constantly having to log on
I have looked into a lot of issues with people signing in, password not working, etc and 100% of the time it is computer or user error. I've yet to find a "glitch" in the software so not sure what to tell you. Windows updates, firewall updates etc. can change your settings. Sometimes it was as simple as turning off the caps lock or numbers lock. Other than when the system is in protection mode, the reason for someone to continually need to sign in is a problem with the cookie. If one of you wants to share your password with me via PM I can play around with it and see if it makes me log in everytime?

If you clean your browser history in some browsers doesn't it delete cookies?

Thanks for the explanation CBob. I never thought of browser updates causing a problem. But they do update, quietly in the background. It is just annoying trying to figure out the "why". Microsoft is usually pretty good but Firefox is a nightmare of glitches when it updates.

Re: Constantly having to log on
This happens to me usually just one time around the first of each month. I log in and I'm good to go for another month. I recently changed from Chrome to Brave (both are based on Chromium) and the same thing happens.

I use Edge and have few problems. Like Matto, I usually have to log in once a month or so.
