New Passport/Visa

I just completed the renewal of my US Passport. My permenente visa is tied to my old passport number. I am assuming I need to have that changed and my new passport number tied to my existing visa. Does anyone have any information they can share with me in order to do it easily? TIA

I have had two new passports since I got my Inmigrado (now Permanente) status. There is no need to inform INM because your passport was only used to confirm your identity WHILE getting your Mexican status.

Sounds about right. I have never informed them when I received a new passport.
