Best Eating in Riberas
I have ate in every cafe, restaurant, food stand in Riberas and the best eating is--a young woman with several kids sells tamales at the Oxxo/Pemex corner Monday-Friday from 6:30 pm until sold out. She has a large ice cooler and has corn, pollo and pork tamales for 15 pesos each. I don't usually like tamales but these are good. My favorite is the corn. Across the carrettera from her a young man starts preparing tacos and other mexican fast food on a large grill around 7 pm. It is mostly to go but the store front opens up and their are tables there. I enjoy eating in the semi-open space with a coca cola and plenty of toppings for the tacos. This is the best eating in Riberas and at a very reasonable cost.

Note: I said eating not dining. I don't think there is a best dining place in Riberas. All of my favorite dining places are in Ajijic and I have 6 which I consider good. In Riberas Huerta is OK for Tea and Mediterraneo for pasta, the others average at best.

Just an FYI, rafter- it's "I have eaten", not "I have ate".

Re: Best Eating in Riberas
Every person's idea of what constitutes good food is a huge variable. I do not bother with Cafe Mediteranneo since I can easily make many pasta dishes at home from scratch. I also prefer my own Caesar salad dressing but Food Lake Container doesn't do a bad job on their Caesar salad... or their tacos arrachera ... or their burger... the last two with guacamole. Mom's ambience is totally lacking and reminds me of an airplane hangar but some of their sandwiches to go are pretty damn good... including their Reuben and their Turkey Club. El Huerto Cafe scores points on both ambience and food. I LOVE their Ensalada Rocio and their Eggs Benny. Different strokes for different folks. I have yet to try the new restaurant where the 711 used to be located. Pancho's is hit or miss (mostly miss). La Estacíon above Pancho's I have yet to try.
You said "Best Eating" and perhaps you should have said "cheapest".

Kudos to @rafterbr for his review of street foods. Good food is good food, no matter the source or cost.

This Post is not relevant as it is neither about current food nor is it about Riberas, but..... the comment about good tamales on the street took me back many years to the corner at Guadalajara Pharmacia in Ajijic. There an 'old' lady would sell tamales out of big stainless steel pots. YUMMY YUMMY. AND, she also had 'fruit' tamales too. My fav was the pina ones. Very good memory.

As previously noted, it’s “I have eaten.” Past participles matter. Correct English grammar matters.

To who, or shall I say, to whom? Get off your high horse; you and everyone else understood the meaning.

... as do social manners. Like not calling out folks on a public forum for misuse of the King's English, especially those 'past participle' ones.
