New 20 pesos coin. Look carefully

Looks very similar to a10 pesos coin.

They are a little different. We got one yesterday just in change. Almost thought it was a 10 but it was new and shiny realized it was not a 10. Thanks for the pictures.

I got some a few months ago....reaching into the dark interior of my change purse made it difficult to differentiate on the fly.

Ended up putting the 20p coins aside and using when I knew I needed a 20, like buying a newspaper.

So is the deal that they just minted a bunch of 20 peso coins? Because there have actually been 20 peso coins before- I remember getting some about 15-20 years ago, and yes, they were easy to mistake for a 10 peso. I never encountered a lot of them, but I did get them from time to time.

At least the difference between the two is easier to spot than that between the 1 and 2 pesos coins.
