Thx.  A NOB friend in CA asked me to calculate compared to his prices (appx. 7 USD per gallon).  

4.25 USD per US gallon per this site:

The gallon is commonly used to measure volumes of fuel for vehicles. Miles per gallon are a unit often used for fuel consumption. This means that countries like Canada will quote a different fuel economy for a car than an American ad for the same car (often used to the car company's advantage).

At 3.785 liters per US gallon, one pays just over $87 pesos per liter or at today's exchange rate, of 20.6 pesos per US dollar, $4.22 dollars per gallon which is a lot lower than up north, where I paid almost $6 dollars per gallon in Seattle.

I think you meant 87 pesos for the litre equivalent of a U.S. gallon.

Nothing like state taxes to jack up your price per gallon. West coast has highest taxes on gas. There was an interesting U.S. map showing which states had the highest an lowest. Georgia is the lowest right now and California the highest.
