Baja Norte in Ajijic
Another wonderful meal!
A few months ago he offered Mussels in Wine and Cream sauce as a special; I asked him to add them to his new menu and he did. They rock! Comes with grilled garlic bread a lot of mussels and a rich creamy wine sauce and is a filling meal.
Today we shared the mussels, a grilled taco de shrimp zarandeado and a taco of beer-battered oysters. Their taco fixin's bar is as good as any at lakeside these days. Drinks were a Negra Modelo and an agua mineral. Tab came to 385.

we appreciate the restaurant reviews you are doing. We like to eat out and there is just to many restaurants lakeside to suffer a bad one.

A dining companion most graciously gave me one of her Oysters Gratin. I normally eschew seafood and cheese, but this was wonderful! Next time I'll order for myself.

I love their tuna cerveche tostado accompanied by their tuna carnitas taco. It is my favorite place to eat. If you don’t like sand then sit in the back dining area. I take off my sandals and dig my feet into the sand. They make good cocktails too. I get the Baja margarita. I never order margaritas anywhere else.

Didn't take a picture but if you miss deep fried, beer-battered oysters, or beer-battered almost any seafood, GO HERE.
I ordered 2 tacos de ostiones and they came with 4 or 5 super large, clean-fried oysters each. With the addition of fixins from their fixins bar, they were wonderful. Too big to stuff all in the 2 tortillas, I ate mine as if an oyster platter.
Quite the bargain at 55p per taco.
