Solar panels help Empty Solar panels help

Post by oncesubtle Fri Jun 11, 2021 11:47 am

Hola,

Our solar panel electronic 'sending box' is not working. It's the device that records energy produced and sends that info. to us and the distributer.

We'll happily pay the big bucks to get it working again.

Thank you,

Bob and Candace

I would call Nyah Walters with Opiere. He will charge you a service call but it's worth it. 331-400-2646.
However, before you call him, open your "sending box" (Envoy??) and make sure that both circuit breakers are turned on. Mine are on in the UP position and, after a power failure, it is wise to check them. I got very lax about checking my output daily online and got a nasty surprise when I checked only the monthly summary. 21 days without production all because of a stupid circuit breaker. Wiser now.

Curious as to why you "disliked" my post Plan B? I did try to contact the installer of my panels and got the run around. It was the circuit breaker which put ALL of the panels out of commission BUT there was also a faulty microinverter on ONE of them which Nyah confirmed for me. Still the installer worked as slow as molasses in replacing it. (it was under warranty).

I did "like" the post, not sure why it later showed up as "disliked". Strange!

Originally, Plan B was shown as disliking the post. Thank you but I am not blind. Trailrunner used to do this often when she was using a tablet and I imagine that a cell phone response would also make it difficult.
You can, however, change your response by re clicking it... which is what Plan B did.
Then CanMex 87 disliked it. Again, not sure why.

Thanks again ferret. I called Nyah, he came by and diagnosed the problem as the sending unit sending the info. to the old now out of business company, and everything else was working as advertised. So I think we will get some more panels. Such a deal.
