Warm season
Been here for 9 warm seasons (April/May) and this one seems to be the longest and hottest. Is it just me? Going to have to start spending more time in Mazamitla......lol.

Re: Warm season
Wimp. You think it's hot now? Spoken like a true Canuck.
Seriously, though, here in Sayulita, it also seems warmer for this time of year. And I've been here for 18 years. It was way colder this winter than I have ever experienced here, then the weather just seemed to get hot quite suddenly. 2 weeks ago I was still sleeping with 2 warm blankets , now the top sheet and a light blanket is about all I need.

Re: Warm season
4 weeks ago Guadalajara was one of the hot spots of Mexico. Hotter than the coast areas. I had a few guests from PV who commented that it was hotter here than there.

Just talked to my grand daughter in Los Mochis, said it was way cooler than GDL, in fact, the breeze coming up from the ocean was chilly.

Re: Warm season
Seems like the winter started earlier this last year; we used several more big loads of wood. Now it seems like the hot season is earlier, too. I've been well cooked these last few weeks. Climate change? Maybe.
Still very tolerable, compared to many places.

Re: Warm season
I am comfortable but I've spent the last five years working to keep the damn sun off my windows. It is now 9:54 am and it won't touch my windows until 8 am tomorrow morning. I sleep with every window in my little house open to the night air. They get closed when the sun is off my windows (aka 8 to 9 am) and all of my ceiling fans are turning on low. I turn them to medium around noon. So far, it has not gone above 23 Celsius inside my house. I open the windows around 10 pm. Whatever works for you because all homes are different.

Is Mazamitla open to visitors again? A while back, you had to show proof of a reservation before they would let you drive in. Thanks

Re: Warm season
A lot less costly experiment. Try one night at Hotel Perico. These soft, whispering breezes through the pine trees really cool the place down. The daytime temperatures on the Pacific coast often are the same as Guadalara. But the night time temperatures were just too hot, with spending a fortune on AC. And the place we lived in was specifically built, by an Engineer, to capture ocean breezes. Have you tried one of those super high pressure misting machines the resorts use. I found them to be suprisingy affordl e. You can convert them to mosquito control. Sorry, lost the bookmarks years ago. Lowers the temp of the spray area from 15 to 20 degreesf

Another thing that seems to change with the weather - cool to hot, hot to wet, wet to cool - is your body bionome gets upset, or disrupted. You may suffer mild diahrea for example and then it just goes away. Until the next season change.
I learned something fascinating, the inexpensive and widespread diahreaa pill, Lopideramide, is actually the same chemical which causes constipation in heroin or opium addicts.
