Re: High End Stereo Shops
I don't know about a list. Go to a high audio company like Denon and see their authorized distributors.
If you are interested, I have a high end system for sale, it is 9 years old but it has rarely been used. I can't use it in our little house in the woods. Onkyo AV amp with all the features, Dolby 5.1 speakers, including a Paradigm 10" monster bass. Can offer an excellent price. PM me for details.

No offense Chillin but none of that equipment would be considered "high end". Not even close....IMO.

You´re right, I guess it all depends on the eyes of the beholder....

I haven't looked for years. They tend to clump together in the open street area not far from the main church in downtown Guad. But certainly the equipment doesn't sell like it used to, so you'll have to do what I did. Google and good shoes.

How about Costco Store number 730. You know, the Costco closest to Joco.

Unfortunately, the High End equipment I'm looking for is not sold as a mainstream consumer product. This makes it difficult to find, I suspect that Mexico City would most likely be my best chance of finding something. Surprisingly Liverpool seems to be the closest I've seen so far.

Well the reviewers sure liked it at the time, and Paradigm is a pro audio speaker manufacturer in Canada.

It was a game changer because Onkyo loaded it with high end features but retailed it for a great price point. There is an Onkyo repair center in CDMX should anything go wrong.

Then I doubt you will find it except in the most unique of shops in Mexico City, yes. If I were you, I sould just order it online if you are already sold on it. Tell me what it is, out of curiousity.

Re: High End Stereo Shops
I found a distributor in Mexico DF which may fulfil your needs for hi-end audio devices;
http://tecso.com.mx/marcas/
Before I joined a medical device company I had worked at one of audio manufacturers in Japan for a few years.
As you may be aware that Onkyo, Marantz, Pioneer and Denon were acquired and consolidated by an American investment company or Chinese company. Each brand still exist.
I personally would like to get vintage original McIntosh MC275 + Marantz Model 7. I am wondering whether it may be worth to invest given the time to enjoy and the fact that
I have started loosing high pitched tones a little bit.
When you enjoy listening music in Mexico it may be better to boost treble up and lower the bass because most housing in Mexico are made of hard materials which absorb high frequencies.
