So looks like lots of people were taking bets on their health as well as the game.. This afternoon, a neighbor told me that the American Legion hosted a watch party potluck with 60-70 in attendance! No masks, everyone eating & drinking, listening to live music. Just packed. He left. Who thought this was a good idea during the extension of the red button??? Bonafide super spreader event, I say. The Chapala Legion was closed for 14 days within the past few months after admitting there was Covid contact on part of the restaurant staff....but they kept the bar open!!!

Like a lot of Legion posts in the US it's filled with barflies from morning to night.

We had a Canadian Legion hangout in my home town. Best $5 steaks and baked potato ever. But the smoke would kill us. They also always offered up their space dirt cheap for wedding parties and such. The branch here is more, how shall I say, financially oriented. And it seems every few years whoever is in charge runs off with all the money.
