Has anyone gotten a debit card instead of a check?

We got our direct deposit to our US BOA account. Our neighbors also received money in BOA account.

That's great the US gives it's retired expats a stimulus check. Canada gives nada to expats or retirees.

My first one was a check a friend just their 2nd one which was a debit card.

Not true. Don't you remember the $300 that we got last fall? I don't actually feel like trolling through bank records to find out the date exactly but will if I must.

There is not much activity in my account so I just went back and checked from June 1st to the end of last year. Deposit came on July 7th, 2020 from Canada Fed for $300.00
And that was the only thing extra received for the entire year.
And I do collect both OAS and CPP so perhaps you're correct CBob about the OAS.

I don't know anything else about it; too long ago. And I did not collect the extra $200. But if you go to the Websites for it, it tells you there.
