electric chair lift

We purchased an electronic chair lift 2 years ago and it has stopped working. The company phone number is not working, so can not get thru. Does anybody know of someone or a company here in Chapala that could fix it. My wife is in a nursing home, and she slipped and broker her ankle. She will not be able to come home until it is fixed. Any and all advise is welcome. thanks in advance john

Are you talking about a chair that lifts someone onto their feet or a chair lift that takes a person from one level of a house to another?

the lift goes from the ground floor out doors up 25 steps to our main level my wife can not walk up the stairs anymore, so she has to ride on the lift. I am about to get to that time also. We have lived in our home for 11 years and really do not want to move. thanks john

If it is an electrical problem propably any good electrician can fix it.

I like that idea CBob. Or even have the guys who do electric garage doors come and check. It's basically a similar set up... motor moves something heavy on a chain. The motor may be burned out... or not grounded... or...

Happyjillin has one of these and says the following on TOB.
Servicing. Yes I have one purchased from the only supplier here. Quality Care has one too. MOVILIDAD,Guadalajara. Gobluejohn asked on ALV about servicing and is getting bad advice. Do not let any electrician or local servicer[sic] of garage doors near it. My contact for servicing is JUAN CARLOS REYES,cell #'s: 331-864-5131 and 333-812-3900. His English is fair and I had trouble trying to get English speakers at that company before they put me onto him.

I agree with the garage door opener guys as probably would be the best bet to fix it. I am also sorry for your wife's broken ankle. This happens a lot there with the cobblestone streets and crumbling sidewalks.
I want to point out for anyone looking to buy a home, this is the perfect example why you do not buy a 2 or 3 level house in the area. If you are a senior, you need a place that can accommodate you as you get older and lose mobility.

yes indeed we are married, and yes her cheesecake is wonderful at the end of our selling there Barbi started to make key lime pies that are great I went to Yves and asked if he was interested in the one serving key lime pies, he said yes and we sold to him for 5 years. When we stopped Ruthie from Sweet and Treats took over. She has since moved back to Texas but she must have taught some one else , as he is still selling them
