Home depot sells it and it is easy to install just glue it down remember do not over water it....

Its going over dirt not concrete. This requires a proper gravel base, etc. Not interested in doing it myself.

I looked into this before. I you really search you will find some really high quality artificial turfs out. Most of them will involve shipping a roll from the U.S., and then find someone local who can install carpet. Over dirt and or gravel I would install a membrane fabric first, like they use in greenhouses. They are attached to the surface with like long tent pegs, with a flat head.

I did sod it and it died from lack of sunshine and dog pee.

There is artificial turf and artificial turf especially for dogs. There IS a difference and it has to do with toxicity of the product and DRAINAGE of the material itself. I bought a chunk of K9 turf from Amazon nearly five years ago. It's still holding up and just needs hosing down daily.

Due to lack of consistent sunshine at our place, we gave up and had flagstones put in, augmented by many potted plants. It worked and looks good. Feel free to come over and check it out if you wish.

Now Bob, a couple of interesting thoughts went thru my mind when you said that! Won't the dogs know it's artificial?

Dogs should not be raised on cement or wire crate floors. It is bad for them. As I wrote before, you can actually buy turf today that is like astroturf or a putting green. The only thing to watch is that some dogs will try to rip it up. Extra revenue potential there, the Canuck Bob International Golf and Country Club. Only one hole, the 19th, sell prestige memberships and embroidered apparel.

There is a big pet shop in GDL that sells what you want, l think that pet shop across from Gdl Farmacia in Chapala, is a branch of it, so if they if dont have they can bring it in...

Try the guy - I forget his name - that used to be the partner of Roberto of Chapala Tree Service. (He also puts in irrigation systems.) He replaced some for friends a few months ago, and they're happy.
I'm sure someone will know who I'm talking about, right?

I found someone to do this with the proper bedding and turf that allows for dog pee. It's not cheap though. $9800 pesos for 12 sq mtrs.

They did the bedding today with a vermiculite cement type mixture. A thin layer of sand will go on this. Coming back Monday or Tuesday to lay the turf.
