Filet mignon with a poblano sauce. Very good.

darn not indan food.. that s beef and I do not eat beef, how disappointing.. Food s tough to photograph.. I attented a photo seccion done by gourmet magazine at Jg von gerichten one day in New york .. You would not believe the crap they put on the food to make it look good... at the end you cannot eat the wonderful food they photograph.. so better enjoy it even f does not look like anything on the picture..

Stick with the new Indian place in Chapala on the right 3-400 feet before the traffic light on Hidago East bound, on the corner of Aquiles Serdan just past Spencers office..The name is Magnolia...EXCELLENT..

Re: Dharma on the Ajijic Malecon
Dharma has been there for many months now, and has been top-notch since day one, serving a variety of food styles.
"Asian / Mexican fusion cuisine, Mexican specialty coffee and signature cocktails with a wide choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners."
Unfortunate location, with a view of the parking lot combined with traffic noise.

Whenever we go to the Malecon for a walk lately, the restaurant is closed. We tried it once and were very disappointed. Tiny portions and nothing special about them.

That was certainly not our experience. Going back Saturday night.

Maybe it was just a bad day. Glad to hear it's good for others.

We were so disappointed in the food here. The first bad meal we've had lakeside in 5 years. I ordered the curry and it had no sauce. My husband thought pad thai would be safe and the only hint of peanut in the dish was the crushed peanuts around the perimeter of the plate. They offered to make us something else but we had no time to stay. We know many people who like the food here, just not the case with us. Too many other restaurants that are dependably good.

Consistency is the number one problem with many of the local restaurants.

I have found a few that were consistently BAD, but they never seem to last long.

Re: Dharma on the Ajijic Malecon
Mixed feelings... thought I’d read the views were lovely. Not so much, but it was pleasant anyway. We thought the portions were very generous. We ended up splitting my husband’s pad thai. The seared tuna I’d ordered came in inch-thick slices that looked as if they’d barely touched a warm pan, much less a hot one. I love seared tuna, but this was a little too raw. Loved the veg accompaniment and decided it with the tuna (sliced thinner and cooked a bit more) would make great tacos at home, and it did. So we got four meals for a very reasonable price. Best limonada mineral I’ve had here.
The singer was quite good, though we weren’t crazy about the music/arrangements he chose. Service was attentive and pleasant.
