Driving to Nuevo Vallarta

Is highway 200 open to Vallarta?

I haven´t heard anything about it being closed, just had friends drive down to PV using it last week.

Easy drive to LO De Marcos then very slow traffic to Bucerias. Total time 5 1/2 hrs

When you have reason to think traffic might be backed up or there are waits for construction, you can always turn off 200 at Sayulita and take the Punta de Mita Hwy to Bucerias. It's a longer distance, but traffic is almost non-existent and you can drive fast most of the way. You have to slow down through Higuera Blanca for all the topes, and again through La Cruz, but other than that, it's fast and much less frustrating.
