Takeout and Delivery during Covid

Before the pandemic I rarely ordered food delivered, but in the last few months I have been doing just that once a week, more or less. So many places with free or cheap delivery (especially using the Essnap app), and no real desire to sit in a restaurant. Recently I ordered from Lulu's Foods in Ajijic. I don't know how long it has been there, on Juarez in Ajijic.

They have pizza and burgers, basically. 4 or 5 pizza choices, no topping choices. I ordered the $175p chorizo version, and both the hamburger and shrimpburger, on different nights. I think the burgers were 95.

The pizza was, without a doubt, the worst I have ever had anywhere. Congealed cheese that I suspect was that stuff they put on nachos at the movies, a smattering of chorizo (and for the uninitiated, onions and cilantro). Tomato sauce had no flavour. So-so medium crust, no flavour. In fact, an off-putting taste.

The burgers were gigantic and delicous, covered with all kinds of stuff. They also substituted rings for fries, and probably the best rings I've had in forever. The batter was a true tempura, which I can't even find on menus around here that promise tempura.

Slowly but surely I'm building a list of what to order and what to avoid at different restaurants.

We've been ordering from Adelita since the virus arrived. Food is always good and delivered on time. And you can order online.

El Rey Taco, Thai Food & More, and Magnolia's are pretty good and the first two deliver for no charge. El Rey has a new menu every week. They all are on Facebook, but seem to eschew a real Web page.
