Mexican Busted for Trying to Sell Stolen Car to Original Owner


MEXICO CITY – Police in the Mexican capital arrested a man who tried to sell a stolen car to its original owner, authorities said Friday.

The car’s 63-year-old owner said four armed men took the vehicle from him as he was leaving a supermarket in the Mexico City suburb of Tlalnepantla.

The victim filed a stolen vehicle report with police and set about looking for a car similar to the one that was stolen, the municipal public safety office said in a statement.

The man found an ad on the Internet for a used vehicle identical to his and he contacted the seller to arrange an appointment.

While walking to the meeting point in the capital’s Santa Maria La Rivera neighborhood, the man spotted his own car – with the original license plates – traveling in the opposite direction.

The victim flagged down a passing police car and the officers blocked the path of the stolen car.

The person at the wheel of the car, 24-year-old Camilo Vladimir Rodriguez Gonzalez, said he had borrowed the vehicle from a friend and was not aware it was stolen, according to the police report. EFE

same thing happened back in high school... a fella stole a car stereo from a buddy of mine... a few days later, he tried to sell him a stereo, that , sure enough, originally belonged to him.... He Beat The Shit Outta Him.... now... that wuz funny!!!
