This new study sheds light on a new generation of ‘smart’ and ‘strong’ elders over centuries of evolution. Research revealed that the elderly are now more active than their elderly.

I’m taking this with a grain of salt. Smarter? Hard to measure.
Stronger? Old timers did much more physical work than we do. I’m sure they were stronger
They worked harder so their bodies wore out sooner. Damages to their bodies were never fixed or allowed to heal so struggled along as best they could.
We are the result of better medicine and better community environment(public health).
Smarter and stronger? I don’t think so.
