We used to laugh at leaders of third world countries

A guy who wants to postpone an election. A guy who sends out anonymous troops in his own cities to quell protests. A guy who says he doesn't know if he will step down if he loses. A guy who hates entire ethnic groups in his own country. I'm not talking about Big Daddy Amin here.

In democracies people vote and they get who they voted for, so why do so many people complain? Any one can run for office if they think they can do a better job, but no, they just complain.  It gets tiresome, when the power to vote is in the people´s hands.
The US and Mexico got what they deserved because they, the people, did it to themselves.

Politics has always been about money, religion and power, long before the Aztecs, Mayans, Egyptians and Romans. Always was and always will be......

The money will never be out of the process. Maybe if Bernie had been elected, he would have at least tried. I'm not sure it's possible. Everything I've ever read about lobbying tells me it's not.

Then you are going to have to get more people to think like you do or nothing is going to change.  Once they are voted in you have to learn to become reactive instead of proactive. You may not like the majority decision but you have to live with it.  In the US, it´s not even a majority decision but a fxxxed up system that gives land more voting rights than people. Might as well factor in the number of alligators in a state on how they elect a president. It´s not democratic at all when you consider, one person, one vote.
I´ll disagree with you on the best of two evils only gets you evil. Evil comes in degrees, just like good, and to me there can be a hell of a difference.  Show me one human being without any evil, once again comparing Trump to Biden is like comparing cancer to the common cold, both are sicknesses. You sure as hell can´t vote on which illness might strike you but sure can vote on which "evil" is the better.
Not voting because of the "evil" thing is IMHO is a very weak excuse.
