Just od memories here:

Mass was in Latin and coitus interruptus was advised.
We didn't know plastic; just tin toys from Japan.
There were iron scrap piles in town squares, for making bombs.
Dad flew a biplane.
Tires had innertubes.
My 1931 Plymouth sedan had wooden spokes.
Shoes were leather; soles too.
Principals could paddle students.
The starter button was on the car floor.
I could drive almost anything before WWII was over, if I could see out & reach the pedals.
Got a driver's licence in 1953 and a pilot's licence in 1959.
Have used carbide lamps, crank telephones, etc., etc.

The sad and tragic thing is that the history that our kids learn is not what we lived but what historians make up.

Amazing. In time it may be confirmed. For years I have thought that we must have arrived in the Americans at least 10,000 years earlier that accepted date of about 13,000 years ago.
