I registered for the vaccine this morning...took five minutes. It would have taken less time if I hadn't been sitting waiting for the receipt to print only to find out that I hadn't plugged the printer into my laptop. Duh!

Good stats.. I have a kid who works for us who told me that his uncle died of covid in Joco Friday.. checking the death, no increase of death between Friday and Monday so either the figures are wrong or the kid is lying.. which is a great possibiliy as I caughtt him several times lying to me.He said his uncle was entubed.. so who knows which hospital.

Yes, I think it depends on which hospital he was in. Jalisco had over 200 deaths in the same time frame.
These stats are not perfect but they are good for indicating trends.
I sincerely hope that he's not lying. Reminds me of some people who beg for money for a prescription... and the prescription is years old. Sad.

Pre-Covid days I would see a funeral tent set up in a Joco street maybe once a month when running errands around town. Last week I ran into three tents in one day. Makes one wonder.

As far as wearing a mask, I think Mike Tyson said it best when he said, "Everyone's got a plan 'til they get punched in the mouth."

Mexico City (CNN)Mexico isn't happy with the way coronavirus vaccines are being rolled out worldwide, saying the process favors richer countries while leaving poorer countries behind.

Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard told reporters Tuesday that the Mexican delegation to the United Nations will file a complaint at the UN Security Council tomorrow concerning the "inequality" and "inequity" that he says impede vaccine access.
"The countries that produce [vaccines] have higher rates of vaccination and Latin America and the Caribbean have much less," Ebrard said. "We're going to raise it in the Security Council because it's not fair," he concluded.
