Yes. The same thing is happening in Riberas. I just switched back to Telmex to get my morning reading fix.

Re: ILOX A Bit Wonky This Morning
I can't even tell anymore when iLox is wonky. With a speed that went from 300 down to about 4, and several weeks of phone calls and emails, including a trip to the office, I have never had a response or a fix. So my service has gone from perfect for months, to one of "those accounts" that people bitch about.

Mine has been up and down too. Just rebooted the router.

Below is ILOX email to report issues. Perhaps the more that report, the better the response from them??

What happened to that guy Kessler or Keesler or whatever, he appears to have vanished. Can't say as I blame him.
Edited to add: I give you guys that took the huge leap of faith to pay up front for something that didn't exist a lot of credit! In Mexico. I hope they up their game, you deserve it!

Re: ILOX A Bit Wonky This Morning
Kessler is still around on TOB but doesn't post a lot.
For the most part, I have been extremely happy with iLox. But, this is Mexico, so I did keep my Telmex line and PHONE! I was always aware that no electricity meant no phone with iLox and that was my reasoning. I like back ups to my back ups.

That would be nice. However, I have sent regular daily emails, often more than once, to every email address I have for every tech support person (I have four or five). And that includes Victor the owner, who once (along with Tom Kessler) asked me to be a public liaison for the company. I turned them down, knowing there would only be problems.
Every day for over a month. When I call, I get put on hold, until finally I get a busy signal.
I sent Tome a lengthy description of the issue, but since is having no problems himself, he assumes everyone else's are "user error". This complete lack of service extends now to TelMex, who used to be fairly decent coming out of Mexico City. Ironically, my TelMex speed has dropped by half, but their 800-123-2222 number has a new menu that leads you down the garden path to tech support for Internet where your only choices are "ask your balance", "pay your balance", "get a copy of your bill" and "go to previous menu". I am online with them right now, because they have a chat service now, and after the initial response, I have been ignored for the last 15 minutes.
So it appears I can't get service from anyone, at the worst possible time.

I can't find anybody who can use their iLox phone... the VOIP allows us to hear who we have called, but they cannot hear us. A problem from the very beginning. No fix in sight.

Re: ILOX A Bit Wonky This Morning
Just went over to TOB. iLox is aware they have a widespread problem and mine is still out.
Someone should tell Rick (60's in Paradise) that the iLox phone connections have never worked properly.
My Telmex connection is the same as it's always been seen I got my new modem... 18 to 20 mbps down and 4 to 5 mbps up. Never could figure out why yours was double CG when you're only three blocks away.
Still works fine for everything.

Re: ILOX A Bit Wonky This Morning
It is completely out now. I'm using hotspot off phone. My Ilox phone works ok when the internet is up.
I did send them a message and they said they are performing work in the area. It will be back soon.

I do not know if this has anything to do with the problem... just received from a friend in Rancho Alegre (just east of Las Fuentes in Joco)
And we all know that iLox is running its cables on the electric poles.
I hope not but...
Hugh dump truck dropping a load of gravel next to the Carretera in front of Rancho Alegre got into the electric lines. And there are wires down everywhere!

Because I'm on the box that was installed when the Presbyterian church went in. Brand new tech and wiring. Not even a half-block away. And, all my household phone wiring I got renewed when I moved in here.

Re: ILOX A Bit Wonky This Morning
Can somebody please list the service phone number?
Besides this outage, I have other frequent outages (< 1 minute) I need to talk with them about.
BTW, I'm running off of my neighbor's "reliable" telmex line :)

Nothing here, 2 blocks north of Donas Donuts in Ajijic.

And nothing here 1 block south of the 711 in Riberas.

Re: ILOX A Bit Wonky This Morning
I must admit to having been a bit surprised that so many local folks bought into the notion of purchasing in advance the proffered ILOX product although I do not mean that in a disparaging way. ILOX management laid out some seemingly attractive incentives for those who, with their up front investments, bought priority into what was advertised as the new, sure to be popular and advanced technology in their line of business but I could not reconcile the risk/reward potential in accepting that upfrontasyetuninstalledanduntriedservice. If there is one thing that 78 years on the planet and 20 years in Mexico has taught me it is that I should never front money for anything except, perhaps, and in limited circumstances, fine wine and alcoholic beverages manufactured to the highest standard but in the aging process, especially anything new on the market and locally untried. That notion goes in spades for innovative electronic services and condominiums under construction but as of yet incomplete. Back in Alabama where this boy was raised in the 1940s, we had lots of isolated beautiful white sand beaches fronting crystal waters on the Gulf for which we could overcharge naive Yankees observing impossibly beautiful beaches and crystalline waters for their first times. We knew those pure white beaches signaled a lack of nutritive soil and the salty waters spraying the land with sea salt contaminated that soil and that meant you could not even grow corn on that land. As it turned out those beach lots had other values we had not discerned as of yet in the 40s and the return in television viewing pleasure ILOX promised up front may show up down the pike but after some rough beginnings.
