Looking for help with an injured wild bird...

Anyone have any recommendations?

Some of the local vets may mend it for free. Then you just need to feed it until it can fly again. Or they may suggest putting it down.

Thanks Bob and Trailrunner. I dropped it off with a vet in Ajijic who said he would contact the rehabbers. I did leave a message at the number above earlier today but haven't gotten a call back. Hopefully the poor thing will make it.

What kind of bird is it?

A dove... it's mate has been sitting on the wall calling for it all afternoon.

What is the injury?

Broken wing and maybe a broken leg. It flew into our patio door.

Good of you to care for the bird.
You might have to do some first aid and hope for the best. Can you put the bird where the mate can see it?

The bird was dropped off at the vets.
