Fabric shades
I have a 20 ft x 20 ft terrace, rooftop, and I would like to put fabric sunshade up that will let rainwater through. Does anyone hve one like this? How does it handle the wind? TIA for any feedback.

Re: Fabric shades
Try a nursery for sun shade fabric. You can get it in different densities depending on how much shade you want and the rain will come through.

Re: Fabric shades
imho, the best sun shade fabric is Coolaroo or its equivalent. Best choices in colour and sizes are available on Amazon.com
This is a shade fabric that breathes and allows the rain to pass through but is made of a type of plastic weaving that is very strong. No seams.
It also has to be anchored to something equally strong to be able to be pulled taut.

Well, that was annoying. While editing, my ability to edit was timed out and I lost a whole pile of information. Scroll down for lots more information...

My personal visual preference is brown because it's easier on the eyes.
I have rectangles and triangles installed with locally purchased concrete anchors, hooks and release hooks.

I have this EXACT shade, though terra cotta color, above a small patio. Works great. It's been up for four years.
