You won't likely find any quality ones around here. I get mine from Sunglass Hut at the Airport or any number of outlets in Guadalajara. I suppose you could find some good ones on Amazon too.

If you are going to buy sunglasses make sure they are polarized. That cuts out the UV rays that cause eye damage.
Having had cataract surgery I looked for good polarized sunglasses and without doing a big time tour of Guadalajara.
I found Amazon MX had a very large selection and bought from there. Free delivery and good products and good prices.

I bought a set of Maui Jim's that have "readers" built into the bottom of the lens (kind of like bifocal's).

Oh. That's a thought!, thanks.

Must say, while nice not to have to wear glasses anymore, I do miss my one pair of dark progressive bifocals that fill all needs and am already a bit tired of wandering around looking for where I left my cheaters. I will figure it out.

Put an ISO on Beg, Barter, etc. on Facebook. I got two pairs of Brighton sunglasses on there for 600 pesos each sold by 2 different people.

Costco handles ray-ban glasses if you get that far.

Considering the investment in the surgery, polarized sunglasses that eliminate the UV rays are very important. For instance only a few Ray-Ban are polarized in spite of the cost. The ones I had some years ago also distorted the view and caused excessive eye strain.

There are many counterfeit versions of Ray Ban. Protection from UV Lenses that are UV400 or greater filter out 99.9% of UVA and UVB light. For full vision protection, purchase eyeglass lenses or sunglasses at UV400 or higher.

ON OUR EYES
There are two types of UV rays we should be most worried about– UVA and UVB
