Hope there's a good turnout for Grito! Went by at 10 p.m. & hardly anyone around.

In fact, we got behind 2 federales tonight and a white truck in a riberas neighborhood. They practically stopped in the middle of the road, got out w/guns. I was like, "back up and let's get outta here." Then one motioned to go ahead and pass. I was glad. Someone said it was el presidente. Really? El presidente is escorted w/federales?

Fireworks have started, will find a chair and watch!

That had to have been the quietest and most subdued celebration of Independence Day that I have ever heard in Mexico. Even San Pancho makes more noise than that...and there's only 1500 full time residents there.
