Router Question
Although our casita shares a common wall with the main house, the wifi signal of the Telcel Huawei modem will not reach the main house. We signed up with ILOX but installation may be way down the road.
I would like to add a router to my TelCel Huawei modem for the time being so I can have wifi in the house and the casita. I would like to install a router now with my Telcel modem to throw the wifi signal throughout my home. Is there a router with a strong wifi signal that will function well with both my Telcel Huawei modem and the ILOX Fiber Modem later if ILOX is eventually installed? Or is this not possible.
If so, please recommend brand and model available in the Guadalajara area. Thanks.

Re: Router Question
Your best bet is to hard wire another modem with a long cat5 cable plugged into one of the lan ports on the back of the first modem. I have 3 modems trained together off my main.

https://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-WHW0303/ or Linksys Velop Intelligent Mesh WiFi System, 3-Pack White (AC3900)
This may do the job.

Re: Router Question
Thats an expensive option that may or may not work. A cheap modem and a 50' foot cat 5 cable will be under $50 bucks. Of course you may need to drill holes to run the cable.

Can you recommend a brand/model compatible with the TelCel Huawei modem. and a storefront to pick up a couple?

Re: Router Question
Go to steren and get a couple of cheap ones. They don't need to be compatible. Any modem will work. They also make cat5 cables to whatever length you want. I have a 100' to the second modem and a 60' from the second to the third modem. I have 3 wifi access points. One in my main house and one in each casita. Works great.
Computer guy may have some modem suggestions.
