Mosquito dunks or bits Empty Mosquito dunks or bits

Post by SunshineyDay Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:45 pm

Mosquitos have taken over my yard. From what I read these items are safe for pets. Has anyone seen them here locally? Anyone tried them?

TIA

I have used a few a couple of years ago. With all the standing water around everywhere, I don't know how effective they were. I didn't notice any change in the Mosquito population.

Usually Laura from the garden store in Riberas, next to 7-11 gets them for the season.

Maybe there is some standing water somewhere close by that you can eliminate?

I'll bet CB is right on this one. Could be a plastic pail, an old tire, ???. We have not seen a single mosquito this year. We used Laura's pellets on an outside pond and have not seen a single larvae. Not cheap though, 490 pesos for a large container. If you are on a tight budget, the local D.I.F. office may give you some, they used to in the past, but seeing all the warnings on the label, maybe they decided it was not such a great idea.
