Shaw account

I am looking to join a Shaw account.
I have a satellite and Shaw box. Thanks

You have an antenna and receiver, Shaw has the satellite (way up high).

Now that Shaw HD changeover is well underway...
What is local service like?
Many channels dropped?
Can the new dual LnB pick up the new satellites at that latitude?

I haven't noticed any lost channels. They have mainly been moved to HD. I'm sure there are some gone that I didn't watch. You can't get any of the channels on the third satellite.

What's involved in sharing an account?

My neighbor says his is working great. Apparently no changes; all is A OK.

Because those channels are on the third satellite, and that is what's being moved around most.

Yeah... thats what they been saying...

I left the conversion here to the last minute in the hopes I would see what was going to happen in Chapala , where the third satellite is out of range.

Now, I'm confused.

We can't get the third sat. Anything that gets moved there from 1 and 2 is lost to us. However, while we are losing the odd channel, we are also getting more HD channels.

Here is a handy link that lists all the channel conversions through October this year, when there will be only HD channels. Most that are switching from Standard Def to HD will stay on the same channel numbers. Unfortunately, this list doesn't indicate which satellite hold which channels.
