I'm done with football

Been a fan for years, the 49ers of course. But when I read an article telling us all but one of NFL owners is a raving member in heart and soul to a certain political party I switched to basketball, the Warriors of course. It's a better sport, more artsy, slicker moves, more civilized in general. Don't know how to compare the advertising, my downloads have no adverts. I hope it isn't a lot of, Be All You Can Be propaganda.

Isn't soccer football? No comprende. There is this game in the USA called football which I think is their national RELIGION. I could be wrong. In Canada this "football" thing is played on 110 yards (I think) with 3 downs. In the USA it's 4 downs over 100 yards. Pussies. While the Gulf War crap was going on USA troops there loved watching CFL (Canadian Football League) games. Then there's Aussie rules, etc. Got tkts for soccer and football solstice time, yeah.

Funny, the NHL is pretty much all Canuks and the CFL all Yanks.

I've seen plenty of soccer, it just doesn't stick. Prolly the most watched sport in history. Or maybe it's when the Romans vs the Christians vs the Lions.

If you look at all the Stanley Cup winners the teams contain a majority of Canucks. This is slowly changing as parents in Canada are not enrolling their kids in hockey as much due to the concussion problems.

The CFL isn't really wannabes so much but NFLers who weren't ready to retire (young or old) being as they still got game, or maybe players who have a reason to be in Canada.  I assume part of a player's value is his fan base. Even if he's lost a step, but fans come or tune in just to cheer him on, he's good to go.  Nor is the CFL a draft resource, all teams have B-leagues to draw from, as does Baseball.

Yeah, the health issues are now out of the closet. But of course it's just fine if their sons and daughters decide to be all they can be. Now there's a "sport" where a concussion is almost good news.
