Kindle Fire HD and and HDX have Bluetooth receivers; other versions do not. Any BT keyboard should work just fine. There are problems sometimes when hooking up for the first time. As long as the keyboard and the Fire are in "BT pairing" mode, all should be good. I use my BT keyboard with my tablet all the time when travelling.

Thanks HG. I use BT for other things without a problem and thought this might work out well. Would get a mouse too.

Nice find TR! I will be passing that along. I found typing on an iPad to be difficult... because I not only have large hands but prefer a normal keyboard for typing. I did get one but now I've been locked out of the iPad by Apple. Sigh. Electronics are such fun.
This is the one I bought for iPad in 2015... cover and keyboard all in one...

This is the one that a lot of people use, including me. You can set it to remember three devices (tablet, phone, etc) so that it auto-connects to the right one. And the slot along the top is perfect for standing up your mobile device. Not to mention, it's very light.

And that one's even better! It's G.R.O.O.V.Y. !. Love it because I find typing on a cellphone akin to milking a mouse.
