ILOX Update

I've seen trucks around wiring in the village, and yesterday on Aquilles Serdan, just around the corner for me. Also received this yesterday.

...as well they should. Too bad they aren't getting any interest on this "loan". Yeah, yeah, I heard all the reasons people were willing to pay a year in advance for the pricier level of service. Still seems a strange way to do business, but they'll probably get the last laugh when I'm cranking along at a level 10 and they're zipping merrily at warp speed.

The reason I signed up and prepaid is I am desperate. I crank along at 1.6 mbps.

Some areas are more poorly served than others. You had a very good reason to sign up. Ajijic Centro gets better speeds, possibly because of the concentration of business customers.

The best speeds from Telmex are in Riberas and there are certainly fewer businesses here. My regular download speed is 20 mbps. Computer Guy gets 40 mbps.

Besides iLox prepaid customers getting service first, I would like to see them START with the prepaids travelling from Joco EAST and end up in Riberas. Those people NEED the connection most. I have friends who live just east of Las Fuentes and their download speed is around 1.5 mbps. Yesterday it was 0.5 mbps.

I'm OK. I just want to kiss Telmex goodbye for their lack of customer service as soon as I can and I am not referring to my download speed.

That's amazing. I guess there's no particular reason it's better one place than another. I agree with you about where Ilox should do the connections first.
I'll probably kiss Telmex goodbye someday, too. I hate to change my phone number though. A hassle.

At the very least, I will cut down to phone only with Telmex but have phone and internet with iLox. I think that's called covering my butt just in case.
