Accidents Riberas
What a dangerous place to drive through these days! From scofflaws that insist on FLYING along the dirt parking lots fronting the businesses (in EITHER direction) to the tourists creeping along looking for addresses - from intersections like the Pemex to the fact that we have no traffic enforcement, BE VERY CAREFUL!
My mechanics, Rosie and Felipe next door to Telecable, told me last week the number of accidents in the area of their taller is shocking - average 3 a week. Bad ones, they say!
Be safe out there.

Yeah, but it’s worth the risk to go to Pancho’s. Did you get the turkey there yesterday?

No, I wasn't able to. ;( Next year!! This has not been a good holiday season for me. Getting better, tho! How was it, good as it looked?
I go to Pancho's these days all the way through Riberas. EZPZ and safer.

Re: Accidents Riberas
Just drive the speed limit and follow the rules of the road and everything will be A-OK....

I didn’t leave the house. I sure was craving a turkey sandwich though. Sounds like you were under the weather. So far I’ve been lucky enough to avoid the creeping crud that’s been going around. Hope you’re better quickly. Juan Mata gave me some bacon he smoked so that’s in the skillet now. Sure smells good.

The problem with that logic is watching out for the drivers who DON'T follow the rules and drive the speed limit, especially the motorcycles. They'll pass you on both sides at the same time! Driving around lakeside, you need eyes on all four sides of your head!

Ain't that the truth. The number of people who go the wrong way on laterals or enter one way streets to go the correct way on laterals drives me nuts. They are dangerous.

Getting in/out of Riberas Pemex was nuts yesterday around 1pm.. total cluster f of cars.. I just stopped.. waited for 1) righteous 2) ignorant & 3) mex trucks to have their way... but the volume of traffic was crazy stupid.. maybe post-holiday. Wed IS best day to do Riberas, due to Wed market in Ajijic..

Just go to San Luis, the street one block south of the carretera and go west a block or so. I never attempt to get on the Carretera from the Pemex. That’s a death wish.

Good advice, avoid the area.
Also try to avoid that cluster of people standing in the MIDDLE of the intersection waiting for the bus. They remind me of bowling pins. Who was the genius that put that bus stop there!
