Recently had the need to hire a driver to take me to Guadalajara for 2 surgeries and wait and returns. I collected 4 names and contact info and asked them to send proof of insurance. One of them, and only one of them, got right back with a photo of his policy and it was for commercial driving. He got the job. The going rate was 1200 from all 4. 

I hired Miguel Lemus Martinez 331 659 1017. He speaks perfect English, is an excellent driver, prides himself on being on-time, and is good company. He can be contacted on FB or by his cellphone.

I just used him again yesterday for a trip to the eye clinic in Guad. Great service as usual. He’s now my go to driver. He also has a van if you need a larger vehicle.

Do you know what his rate is from Ajijic to the airport?

And as an aside.... isn't it great to have a list of dependable drivers to take us from Lakeside to Guadalajara, much less WAIT for us to have a surgery and then back home!?!

I don’t know his rate for that but he seems to be in line with other drivers and I assume a 4:00 AM. pick up time would be different from a 10:00 AM one. On his Facebook page it looks like he’s in Guadalajara but he stays lakeside when he has rides scheduled.
