I'll say. depending on where you live, like Ajijic, which is probably 10 K away, unless you are a Kenyan long distance runner. Not so bad for Chapala Haciendas, but still at least 5K. Anything over 2 blocks is a little too far for me.
But it's only 10 to 15 minutes from SAT by auto on a nice, newly resurfaced, mostly 4 lane hiway.
I doubt hardly anyone from the North Shore ever walks there.

Re: Los 5 Potrillos
My best friend lives in Ixtla. These days it takes less time to drive from the Walmart instersection to Los Cinco Portrillos than it does from the Walmart intersection to the Brewhouse. (Apologies to the carless.)
I'm in if slainte39 promises to sit at the kid's table with Carry Bean and me and the other "B List" crowd. I suspect last time he was trying to preserve something sitting at the "Adults Only" table.
If it was his dignity...it didn't work.

OK, lets put something together after New Years. I'm thinking mid January. Stay tuned.

hahaha Rosa! Would the B List accept a member of the . . . Oh, C or D List at the kids table? Or must that person sit with the adults? Asking for a friend. . .

I only sit at the kids’ table so I get a paper crown and can color on the placemats. The kiddie table has chicken nuggets on the menu.
Yeah, what was the deal with Slainte ignoring us last time. My feelings were hurt.

I found that sitting at the VIP table with MexicoPete wasn't all that it was cut out to be.
Hoping to enhance my standing in the community by hanging out with the "right kind of people", hasn't happened.
So....it's back to the beer and hamburger crowd where I belong. (no mas champana y caviar)

Absolutely. We're the table for the freaks, geeks and outcasts. Very welcoming. The only rule that I'm aware of is "No Drooling".

Live in Ixtlahuacan, eaten there several times recently and will probably never go back, food very mediocre, cold when served etc etc. Just my opinion and I used to love to eat there several years ago.

Had lunch there yesterday. Six of us and we all really enjoyed our meals. Just my experience.

Re: Los 5 Potrillos
I always hate being the bubble burster - but according to TOB, Salvadore the great manager has left Los Cinco Potrillos. He claims the landlord increased the rent to a non-viable level. Who knows what happen next - maybe family will step in and follow Salvadore's footsteps. This happens all the time. I remember in Canada when I was working, people asked if they could watch. I said sure, but my hourly rate just doubled. They thought I was joking, until they finally got that I was not.
