A kind of good-bye
Love this place. I joined before I made the move to Mexico and Inside Lakeside was a god-send. I've met many, many wonderful people on here - p!ssed off a few, befriended many more. There are many instances where the folks on here have bailed my a$$ out of trouble. I am grateful to you all.
I am especially grateful to Bob Howe who became a friend and a neighbour (note the correct, Canadian, spelling) and has always been supportive and understanding. Even when I was wrong. That's a helluva thing.
I have completed my move to Playa Del Carmen so I think I will have little to contribute going forward. I certainly don't plan on deleting my account here or anything but I doubt I will have much of substance to contribute. I certainly cannot pay back all the great info I received by being a member of this community.
Thank you, one and all.
Bill.

Sorry to see you go but I think you may be back. Have you ever spent an entire summer in Playa del Carmen?

Nope. And I expect it to be a challenge. But there is a beautiful woman involved in this decision and, as all well-know, THAT can be the deciding factor in all life choices.

Well there goes the neighborhood, grrr. Wishing you the very best and hoping you'll move back, with her. Maybe a chance eh?

Love is seldom conducive to reducing ambient heat, but I've enjoyed your posts, so I wish you all the best!

That possibility was certainly part of the discussion and she did visit me in Chapala. But the fact is that she loves the beach. She has a thriving business here and runs the beach every morning for an hour (Yes, she is substantially younger than I am!)
No one knows what the future holds. But for now, I am content to suffer through and see what happens. Hell, that's the reason we moved to Mexico, isn't it?

Re: A kind of good-bye
There are no conditions or limitations on what one will do for love. My hubby felt significantly better at sea level so we moved to San Pancho, Nayarit. Six miserable summers later (with air conditioning), we moved back inland to closer quality medical facilities.

Nice knowing you Bill. I will be sure to look you up when we are in Playa. You can show us the ropes. Good luck and take care.
