The new hospital for General Hospital de Occidente, is steaming right along. It was supposed to open in September. It adds 320 new beds for this Public Hospital, which accepts Seguro Popular insurance, or a mix thereof. It will specialize in Geriatric care, but will also include new emergency wards and many other treatments. If you want to wade through the long story, in Spanish, here it is. Apparently this fills a critical need in Guadalajara and Jalisco.
